John Chesser is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Quantica Infrastructure, the company behind the Big Sky Campus in Yellowstone County. With decades of experience leading major energy and infrastructure projects, John has been closely engaged with Montana since Quantica’s formation in 2024, working to bring together power, fiber, and technology in support of local communities and statewide growth.

Most recently, he was CFO of Talen Energy Corporation and Cumulus Growth, where he led the development of a 475MW data center campus (acquired by AWS) and a 150MW bitcoin mining facility. He previously served as treasurer of TerraForm Power, a 3GW renewables platform acquired by Brookfield, and earlier in his career helped guide General Motors through its financial restructuring and IPO.

John holds degrees in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
